21st Century Technology for Teachers and Students

RIO GRANDE LEARNING NETWORK

Through a successful $127,000 CDE-EETT grant we wrote for two rural Colorado schools, the Rio Grande Learning Network provided 6th through 8th grade teachers and educational support staff in Creede and Del Norte with collaborative opportunities to develop strategies to raise their level of classroom educational technology use ultimately developing tech-savvy and informationally literate 8th graders.  To learn more or to ask questions, e-mail the project director ron@etilnet.com.

Goal 1: Develop a process by which teachers and administrators can effectively assess and remediate student Information Literacy skills in producing standards-based classroom assignments.

Goal 2: Use proven technology-based teaching strategies to develop informationally literate, eager students who are readily engaged in the learning process and perform better on state assessments.
